Christina Aguilera Wins 2013 People Choice Award, Will Perform at the Live Ceremony on Jan. 9!

Christina Aguilera may be temporarily leaving The Voice next season, but her voice hasn’t gone unnoticed.

In addition to the show’s People’s Choice Awards nomination, the pop diva won an award of her own. According to a recent press release, in a live ceremony on Jan. 9, Xtina will receive the 2013 “People’s Voice” award, “recognizing her outstanding achievements in the music industry and in celebration of her ability to reach millions of fans both at home and abroad across pop, soul and R&B genres.”

But wait, there’s more!

Not only is Christina’s award a custom-designed Waterford Crystal trophy, but the pop diva will also perform during the live awards show! She is the second performer to be announced — joining Blake Shelton’s country bestie Jason Aldean — though more may follow suit.

Considering that The Voice’s executive producer, Mark Burnett, is producing the People’s Choice Awards, too, who knows — maybe all four celeb coaches will show up!

The 2013 People’s Choice Awards airs live on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. Will you tune in? Sound off below!
