Last night, on the live Season 3 finale of The Voice, soul man Nicholas David placed third. But that doesn’t mean the Team Cee Lo contestant wasn’t an exceptional talented.

All season, he wowed us with his one-of-a-kind style and sound. Here are our Top 3 Nicholas David performances from this season:

3. “What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye

With his notoriously-long hair pulled back in two pigtail braids, Nicholas David rocked The Voice stage with a style we’d never seen before. His soulful performance had us tapping our toes and swaying on our couches.

2. “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers

This performance brought coach Cee Lo Green to tears, and rightfully so. With a gospel choir backing him up, Nicholas tapped into his emotional side in an unforgettable performance.

1. “Great Balls of Fire/Fire” Mashup by Jerry Lee Lewis and Jimmy Hendrix

But Nicholas definitely saved the best for last in Monday night’s performance episode — this creative mashup was a great way to kick off the show. It featured Nicholas playing a piano that was literally on fire, groovy backup dancers, and some high kicks from the soulful singer himself.

What were some of your favorite performances from Nicholas? Tell us below!
