Nicki Minaj’s Manager Calls Grammy Snub “Bulls**t”: Is She Boycotting Twitter Over the Brush-Off?
There are certain celebs who seem to live and die for Twitter (hello, Miley Cyrus), and Nicki Minaj is definitely one of them. With a strong presence, millions of followers, and some high-drama feuds via the social media outlet, many have been asking — just where is she?
The American Idol judge hasn’t tweeted for weeks now, and some are speculating that it may be her recent Grammy snub that’s caused her to go silent. Her manager, on the other hand, has let his feelings be known. On December 6, Cortez Bryant tweeted, "Congrats to @LilTunechi and @Drake and @Hit_Boy on their Grammy Noms butttt they was on some bullshit for not nominating @NICKIMINAJ.”
After receiving three Grammy nominations last year for “Best New Artist,” “Best Rap Album,” and “Best Rap Performance,” one has to ask just what went wrong? Global Grind speculates that it could be her majorly offensive presence at the awards show last year. Nicki memorably showed up on the red carpet with a Pope impersonator and performed a shocking version of “Roman Holiday” during the live telecast.
But Nicki wasn’t the only noticeable snub this year. Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun is also up in arms over the Biebs’ lack of nomination for his album, Believe. There’s no word on whether he too referred to it as “bulls**t.”
