Fifty Shades of Grey Is the Most Unpopular Christmas Gift of 2012: Poll
You really have to know a person pretty well before giving them Fifty Shades of Grey. It's not like a stocking-stuffer for Nana — although maybe it could make a good Secret Santa gift at the office. But Fifty Shades of Grey just topped the list of least wanted Christmas gifts this year, with 26 percent of people surveyed by the British Heart Foundation saying they would be seriously disappointed if they got the mega-popular book as a gift. (Maybe they already have it?)
Second place, at 24 percent, went to an Olympics highlights DVD, followed by a weight loss DVD. According to the British poll (via the Daily Mail), the people most likely to give unwanted gifts were grandparents, followed by mothers and partners. So maybe dads, siblings, friends and co-workers are the best gifters — or maybe they just never get you anything?
Anyway, if someone gives you Fifty Shades this year, and you didn't want it, remind them of this poll.
