The Voice’s Cassadee Pope vs. The X Factor’s Tate Stevens: Who Is the Stronger Winner?

Country music is back, y’all!

On The Voice, Team Blake Shelton’s Cassadee Pope won Season 3 by mixing pop rock with country — a blend she perfected by singing Miranda Lambert’s “Over You.” And last night on The X Factor, country man Tate Stevens beat out fan favorite Carly Rose Sonenclar for the top prize.

Over the course of Season 3 on The Voice, Cassadee Pope showed off her diversity as an artist, effortlessly crossing genres and perfecting her clear sound and impressive belt. She sang tunes by a variety of artists from Avril Lavigne to Rascal Flatts and topped the iTunes charts week after week.

Being in the “Over 25” category, Tate stuck with the classics, but had the voice of a seasoned country artist. His soulful twang reminds us of big names already on the radio, so it only makes sense that he’d rise to the top in this instance.

But when it all comes down to it, who is the stronger music competition winner? Watch the videos below and tell us what you think!
