The relationship between Mona and Jason goes beyond a hug. We see a glimpse of Mona (Janel Parrish) sitting on a porch with Jason (Drew Van Acker), looking almost seductive. Could she be weaseling him into the “A” team’s clutches, or is she just trying to make out with him? Or, is Jason already on the “A” team?
That crazy motel guy is back. Remember that creepy guy who ran the front desk of the Lost Woods Resort? Well, he’s back, and he’s holding a pair of pliers. Is he some kind of hit man for the “A” team? Maybe someone on the “A” team has manipulated him into working for them, and he’s been carrying out their missions for a long time now.
Everyone witnesses the fire. We see the Liars, and tons of other students and adults, looking shocked as they gaze at something very bright. It’s nighttime, and because of the way the light is flickering on their faces, it looks like it could be the mysterious fire that showrunner Marlene King recently referenced.
Mona causes a scene. Mona’s transition back to Rosewood High School was never going to be easy, but a series of frames in the promo make it look like the entire student body is against her. She walks through the halls holding a knife, as everyone around her watches in terror.
Detective Wilden is back. Not that we’re happy to see him or anything, but whenever he shows up, that usually means that an exciting piece of evidence has turned up. That’s something we would be happy to see.
Byron looks guilty. There’s only a quick shot of Byron (Chad Lowe), but he looks like he’s lingering in someone’s doorway. Our guess? He’s eavesdropping on Aria (Lucy Hale), trying to figure out what she does and doesn’t know about his relationship to Alison (Sasha Pieterse).
There’s an Ali flashback. We love our Alison flashbacks, and in the very end of the promo, it looks like we’ll get a juicy one between Ali and Byron. More info please!
