The Situation on His New Single Status: “I Would Love to Have a Real Girlfriend” — Exclusive
Wetpaint Entertainment recently sat down with The Situation to discuss his post-Jersey Shore plans, how he’s enjoying his new status as a single, sober guy, and whether or not he and Snooki have truly made up since wrapping the series.
Wetpaint Entertainment: Are you happy with the way Jersey Shore ended? The Situation: Definitely very bittersweet that this is happening right now but I believe the way that Jersey Shore ended, it ended on a high note. It put so much work and it was so much effort, into this particular season. There were so many questions, so many variables, there were so many objects in my way you know for me to even think about doing the show let alone actually doing it, doing it successfully, the fans liking it, so many things in my way. And now that’s it’s over, the results, it was like a dream. It was very poetic that it ended so well for me. What was the highlight of the series for you? The series as a whole was just, it was so important in my life. So much could have happened that could have gone bad or the other way. On a daily basis I was pretty much at risk of making a bad decision hurting my life or my health you know? I got through it and it’s extremely gratifying to be completely honest with you. It puts a smile on my face. How long have you been sober? It will be a year in April. What is your current relationship status? Right now single. That’s my status but Snooki’s got the baby, Jenni over there and Roger [Mathews] are cute together and Sammi and Ronnie are together and I’m not going to lie, I would love to have a real girlfriend that I could share some of the things with that I have in my life and going forward. I believe I’m at a point in my life where I’ve experienced a lot in a short period of time, a lot. And now going forward I would like to, you know I feel like I’m in a good place so a relationship would be very gratifying. Do you still talk to Paula? You know you guys haven’t seen the season finale yet so I really can’t tell you what happens with that but it’s extremely interesting and something that is a little ironic. Who has been your biggest support in the last year? I would have to say I really received a lot of support from family, from friends, from co-workers as well as you know I believe everybody rallied around me. It was just a very important issue in my life so if I have to pinpoint it, probably my sister and my brother.
Snooki & JWOWW Season 2 premieres on Tuesday, January 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT onMTV.
