Top 5 Battle Round Performances From The Voice Season 3
Though The Voice Season 3 is now over, we love to look back on the incredible performances this season. Season 3's battle rounds were particularly good this year, so we've rounded up our Top 5 favorite performances.
It’s hard to come up with an argument against the killer performance that kicked off this season’s battle rounds. It was the only battle that had all of the remaining coaches lunging for their buttons to sweep Amanda up. And though people eagerly named Trevin Hunte this season’s “one to watch,” we think Amanda Brown is an equally-impressive contestant.
Capping off the battle rounds as strongly as they began was another performance from two Team Cee Lo contestants. Teenage prodigy Avery Wilson and Lady Gaga’s former backup singer Chevonne tackled David Guetta’s “Titanium” — and blew our socks off! Chevonne’s performance also earned her the final steal of the battles from Christina Aguilera!
As one of the softer performances of the show, alternative Team Adam contestants Melanie Martinez and Caitlin Michele embraced the Ellie Goulding tune, “Lights.” There weren’t any major dance moves on the stage or intense belts, but their beautiful blend earned them a spot on this list.
This season on Team Christina, it’s all about the battle of the pop singers. And two of the best were Joselyn Rivera and Sylvia Yacoub. These ladies managed to conquer one of Beyonce’s biggest hits, and when Xtina picked Sylvia’s “fire”, Adam snagged Joselyn for his team.
This battle was all about precision vs. soul, and classically trained Alessandra lost out. But the youngster found a friend in Christina Aguilera, who used her first steal to give the teen a confidence boost. But before the steals, Kayla and Alessandra had an impressive (and sass-filled) performance of Katy Perry’s hit song.
