The Voice Season 3: Top 5 Best Live Performances (VIDEOS)

Sadly, The Voice Season 3 has come to a close, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look back fondly on the greatness that was the live shows.

This season’s performances were a cut above the rest, and we’ve rounded our Top 5 favorites.

5. Trevin Hunte | “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”

Basically anytime Trevin sings tunes from Dreamgirls, we get goosebumps and someone starts cutting a large onion right next to us. This shy teen isn’t afraid to hold back when it comes to belting out songs from pop divas, and this rendition gave Jennifer Hudson a run for her money.

4. Terry McDermott | “Let It Be”

As the first reality music contestant to sing this classic tune on American television, this Scottish rocker did The Beatles proud. Backed by a gospel choir and some stained glass panels, Terry blew the roof off effortlessly while adding some creative twists to the iconic melody.

3. Nicholas David | “Great Balls of Fire/Fire”

One of Nicholas’s final performances proved to be his best. The soul man literally lit his piano on fire and completed the mashup with some high kicks and a grin. Hey now!

2. Cassadee Pope | “Over You”

We’d be remiss not to mention Cassadee’s breakout performance of this hit Miranda Lambert song. It was even more meaningful knowing that coach Blake Shelton, who co-wrote the song about his late brother, was watching and giving Cassadee his blessing. Her rendition broke records on iTunes, staying at No. 1 for weeks.

1. Amanda Brown | “Dream On”

If we’re being totally honest, we think Amanda Brown deserved a spot in the finale solely based on this performance. She truly defined girl power and tore up the stage with this classic rock hit. It’s a performance we won’t soon forget!
