Blake Shelton Reveals His Surprisingly Honest New Year’s Resolution
The New Year is upon us, which means it’s time to set lofty goals to make 2013 the best year ever. And though celebs change up their lifestyles year-’round, they certainly aren’t immune from the resolution bug — not even The Voice’s Blake Shelton.
The country crooner and funny man had a surprisingly serious answer when Us Weekly asked him about his goals for 2013.
"I need to work on being a less controversial tweeter," Blake said.
Say it ain't so! We love Blake’s hilarious tweets, but some have complained about their crass nature. (Who doesn’t enjoy a good poop joke?)
But Blake’s probably referring to one of two incidents that caused a ruckus on Twitter in 2012. Earlier in the year, he joked about running over a turtle with truck, and thus began the craze known as TurtleGate 2012.
Angered animal lovers blasted Blake, and even Ellen DeGeneres called out her fellow JCP Cares ambassador online.
And after the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy in December, Blake called for more arms in America, infuriating fans across the country.
