Julianne Hough's childhood wasn't all ballrooms and trophies.
In the upcoming February 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, the former Dancing With the Stars pro, who plays a survivor of domestic abuse in the upcoming film Safe Haven, reveals that she was the victim of physical and psychological abuse while attending the Italia Conti Academy of the Arts in London.
"While I was in London, I was abused, mentally, physically, everything," she says. Though she doesn't go into detail about who was behind the abuse or what it entailed, it all happened at a very important time in any young girl's life. "When I started hitting puberty, when I started becoming a woman and stopped being a little girl," she adds.
