Kristen Stewart has never come across as a people person — even before a lot of people dragged her through the mud for her “indiscretion.” The Twilight lip-biter usually comes across as awkward and itching to get away from any attention. Plus, she once described herself (jokingly) as a “miserable c-nt." But Kristen is on the latest cover of V magazine, and she seems to be in a mood to change some preconceptions about herself.
First of all, V said she showed up to the interview looking very unpretentious — wearing 7 for All Mankind jeans and Converse kicks with no publicists, handlers, or hangers-on around. And despite the impression she may give sometimes, Kristen doesn’t hate us all. “I really love people,” Kristen told V. “You can’t not as an actor. It’s just strange meeting someone and going, 'Okay, you start at square one and I will try and make up for what you already think you know about me.'”
(First of all, for anyone who bought that story that she was pregnant with Robert Pattinson’s baby, it's not true.) If we were in her position, we’d probably want to shut the world out, but she seems to be working on being more open.
“I have realized that you can close yourself off to life if you put walls up, but it’s a difficult thing,” Kristen said. “You can’t see over, people can’t see in, and you also can’t see out. So I’ve gotten quite comfortable with just being unafraid. I keep saying the same thing: it’s not about being fearless but really just embracing the fears and using them.”
So she's embracing her fears and loving people. Sounds like a positive way to start 2013, if she can keep it up. Just don't love the wrong people, KStew.
