Fifty Shades of Grey: Do You Want to Take a College Course About It? Now You Can!
Up until now, the only sexy-sounding book that colleges regularly teach has been Moby Dick — and that's not even as sexy as the title would make you believe.
Fortunately, that's about to change. A professor at American University in Washington, D.C., is teaching a course this semester based on the Fifty Shades of Grey book series. Sign us up!
The course is entitled "Contemporary American Culture: The 50 Shades Trilogy" — and needless to say, it's quite popular. The course is already completely full and has a waiting list full of students who are eager to discuss the naughty subject matter.
The course will cover a variety of texts, along with themes that are touched upon (so to speak) in Fifty Shades, including sexuality and whether Christian and Anastasia's relationship is abusive.
The class won't be all fun and games, as there will be three paper assignments that will tie up the students. Uh, we mean tie up their time, of course.
How come college wasn't this hot when we were in school?
