Jessica Simpson Opens Up About the Challenges of Motherhood
Since giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew in May, it seems all eyes have been on Jessica Simpson — and her post-baby bod. Now the new mom and Weight Watchers spokeswoman opens up to People magazine about the joys and struggles that come with being a working mom.
“Motherhood is the best thing I’ve ever experienced — and the most challenging,” she tells People.
As a mentor for NBC’s Fashion Star, some days go by where Jess doesn’t get to see Maxwell at all, which is understandably really hard on the new mom. “I get really sad if I don’t get to see her … I can tell she missed me. That breaks my heart.”
With any new job, there’s a learning curve, but all in all, Jess feels she and fiance Eric Johnson are doing a great job, gushing that Eric is “a great father … we’re both learning together, but it’s fun because we both get to grow in our relationship together.”
Sounds like these two are loving all that parenthood has to offer — which is good news considering the couple announced on Christmas day they are expecting baby number two this year!
