Say What?! Snoop Dogg Says He “Would Love” to Teach Kids How to Smoke Weed
The artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg (he goes by Snoop Lion now) is raising eyebrows after saying in a recent GQ interview that he would teach his three children — all between the ages of 12 and 18 — how to smoke weed.
Snoop, a.k.a. Calvin Broadus, married his high school love, Shante Taylor, in 1997 and together they have three children: Cori, Corde, and Cordell, all between the ages of 12 and 18. Snoop has long been a big proponent of marijuana — and he’s open about showing his kids how to do it “right.”
"It's not that I would ever push weed on our kids," he tells GQ, "but if they wanted to, I would love to show them how, the right way, so that way they won't get nothing put in their s**t or overdose or trying some s**t that ain't clean."
The rapper found himself in trouble last January when he was arrested in Texas and issued a citation for misdemeanor drug possession of — you guessed it — marijuana.
Snoop defends his stance on weed, saying, “It’s from the earth… it’s actually growing from the ground straight to you, so it’s just like eating a vegetable. You know what I’m saying?”
Well, it’s not quite the same as serving up a plate of steamed broccoli, but sure!
