R&B Singer Frank Ocean Cited For Pot Possession and Loses Driver’s License
It sounds like Frank Ocean has been thinking 'bout you pot a lot lately.
2012 may have been a breakout year for the R&B singer, but it also ended on a rocky note. He was reportedly pulled over twice while driving in California within the final two days of the year, and one of those stops got him cited for pot possession and led to him temporarily losing his driver's license.
Frank was pulled over in his black BMW for going about 90 in a 65 mph zone on December 30. He was then pulled over on New Year's Eve for roughly the same speed.
During the second time he was stopped, police detected marijuana odor coming from his car and found a small bag of weed on the 25-year-old singer.
Frank was cited for driving with a suspended license and for having tinted windows, and his license was confiscated.
However, Frank seemed rather unfazed by the incident. He took to Twitter on January 3 to post:
Judging by that tweet, it looks like Frank has no problem being blunt (so to speak).
Up until these final two days of the year, 2012 had been pretty stellar for Frank Ocean. His debut album, Channel Orange, debuted at number two on the Billboard charts in July. The album — featuring the hit single, "Thinking Bout You" — received six Grammy nominations last month.
So his career is going full speed ahead — and so is his BMW.
