Jillian Michaels Opens Up Motherhood: “There Isn’t a Day That I Don’t Get Projectile Vomited On”
If there’s one thing Jillian Michaels wasn’t prepared for when she became a new mom, it was the vomit. The 38-year-old Biggest Loser trainer recently opened up to Us Weekly on the joys — and pitfalls — of raising 8-month-old son Phoenix and 2-year-old daughter Lukensia with partner Heidi Rhoades.
“I did not anticipate how much a child under 1 [year old] throw up! … There isn’t a day that I don’t get projectile vomited on,” she said.
Motherhood at its finest! Jillian also tells the mag about another incident in which her son had — for lack of a better word — a blowout on the wall of her physical therapist’s office. “He was like, ‘It’s okay, I have two kids.’ [But] we’ve never gone back.” Um, understandable!
Jillian’s partner Heidi gave birth to Phoenix in May of 2012, the same month they adopted Lukensia from an orphanage in Haiti. “She just grabbed me and clung to me and … I was like, 'Oh my God, this is my daughter,'" she says of the adoption.
Vomit aside, it seems like motherhood fits Jillian well!
