Kyle Massey’s Family Settles Lawsuit Over Bristol Palin’s Reality TV Show

We've reached the finale of Dancing With the Lawsuits.

Back in June, it was revealed that Dancing With the Stars Season 11 runner-up Kyle Massey and his family were suiing the producers of Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp, saying they came up with the idea for their own reality TV show and started shooting it, only to be cut out of Bristol's Lifetime show without compensation.

But a rep for Kyle and his brother Chris just told TMZ the lawsuit is over and the Masseys have reached a financial settlement with the producer who allegedly stole their idea. They had originally demanded more than $500,000 in damages, and even though the details of the settlement weren't disclosed, TMZ was told the Massey family was satisfied.

Kyle's owed some good news right about now — since he didn't get the reality TV show he wanted (even though he and Chris lived with Bristol and her son Tripp) and he didn't get to compete on DWTS All-Stars (but Season 11's third-place contestant, Bristol, did get to return). Maybe he can use the settlement money to launch a new TV project — without Bristol.
