Matthew McConaughey on Being a Dad: “I’m Not Changing the Diapers”
It sounds like Matthew McConaughey does not find changing diapers to be a "magic" experience.
The Magic Mike star was asked by reporters on January 7 at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards dinner if he was hurrying home to change diapers on his infant son Livingston, who was born last month.
"I was there this morning, so I guess I am running home. But I'm not changing the diapers."
Uh, so who is changing them?
"Somebody," is all he would say. He also has two other kids: Levi, 4, and Vida, 3.
He also discussed his severe weight loss, as he had started out at 165 lbs. and then dropped way down to 135 to shoot his new film, Dallas Buyers' Club. He is now back to 160 lbs., just five pounds shy of his original weight.
"I have less [physical] leverage, but my mind is way sharper," he says of being skinnier.
So what was the first thing he ate when he was done with his stringent diet?
"A cheeseburger," he says. "That was it. I got the cheeseburger, and then I sat there for 25 minutes and doozied it up."
Apparently, he became quite the expert on how to lose a guy weight in ten days a short period of time.
