The Walking Dead’s Super Bowl Commercial Airs Week Before Season 3 Return (SPOILER PHOTOS)
UPDATE: According to Business Insider, the Walking Dead Super Bowl ad is actually for Time Warner Cable's Enjoy Better campaign. Still, it includes Norman and zombies and Walking Dead references. That's enough for us!
Original story: The Walking Dead is returning a week earlier than expected — sort of.
Season 3 returns Sunday, February 10 with Episode 9, “The Suicide King.” The Super Bowl airs the previous Sunday, February 3. And it has just been revealed that TWD will air its first-ever Super Bowl ad.
Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) started tweeting about it earlier today, beginning with “shooting Super Bowl commercial la. happytoseemydarylclothes!” He shared the wardrobe shot shown below, as well as the other two photos.
According to Business Insider, it costs a record $4 million-plus for a 30-second spot to air during the 2013 show — the highest ever for Super Bowl commercials. Check out the pics below for clues to the ad. We can’t wait to see it!
