Ben Affleck: Being a Dad Has Made Me a “Richer Person”
We've always thought Ben Affleck was pretty great, but Ben says he prefers who he is now since having kids.
"They're most important in my life," the director and star of Argo tells Us Weekly of his three children. He and wife Jennifer Garner have two daughters and a 10-month-old son, Samuel.
"Family is a wonderful thing, but it doesn't mean you can't do other stuff in your life," he continues. "In fact, having a family makes whatever other thing you have that much richer. If it was just me, I'd be home alone and think, 'Well, something good happened at work,' but it's much nicer to share it with people you love."
So cute! Who knew that Ben would become such a big softie?
"I think anytime you become a richer person, you have more substance," he says. "I hope that happened to me with having a family, but you never know!"
Things are definitely going well for Ben at work, too. His film Argo was nominated for seven Oscars, although Ben himself was surprisingly snubbed for Best Director.
Luckily, Ben has a lovely wife and three adoring children to help him forget about the snub.
