How Similar Will Chris Colfer’s New Asylum Movie Be To American Horror Story?
It turns out that the people on Glee really love old-timey asylums.
Chris Colfer’s (Kurt) next movie is set deacdes ago in an asylum, but he doesn't want anyone to think that he's ripping off Ryan Muphy's show American Horror Story, which also involves an asylum this season.
"It takes place in an asylum in the 1930s," Chris tells E! Online about his next film. "We started putting it together long before American Horror Story [Season 2] ever happened."
Chris admits to have been taken aback when he learned of the similarities between the two projects.
"When I found out they were doing Asylum, I was like, ‘Oh, crap! People are going to think I stole it from them,'" he says. "But it really wasn't at all. Thankfully, it's completely different."
If you're hoping for Chris to be center stage again in this film as he was in Struck by Lightning, brace yourself. He will only have a small role in the new film, but it's a "very, very important supporting character." It better be!
But the good news is that a director is already attached, and several actors are considering signing up as well.
"I just got a phone call about a meeting about it, and things are moving along," Chris reveals. "It might be actually happening much sooner than I thought."
So the only thing we're still wondering is when Chris actually sleeps? This is one busy dude!
