Prenup Update: Will Crystal Harris Ever Get Hugh Hefner’s $43 Million Fortune?
You're a beautiful 26-year-old woman and you've married an 86-year-old man worth an estimated $43 million. Why? What’s your motivation? Love? Money? Security? Fame?
Well, it may not be for that much money. A source tells Us Weekly that Crystal Harris had to sign an "ironclad" prenup before her New Year's Eve wedding to Playboy honcho Hugh Hefner. The mag's source says Crystal has not been added to Hef's preexisting will, and his fortune is still set to go to his children, the University of Southern California film school, and various charities.
According to RadarOnline's source, the couple signed a new prenup about three weeks before the wedding. "The prenup protects Hugh’s Playboy assets, and it also has specific language about the famous Playboy Mansion. If the couple divorces, or if Hef dies, Crystal would have to vacate the mansion, and has no legal rights to the iconic Holmby Hills estate."
That said, she's certainly going to live a cushy lifestyle with Hef, and it's not clear what other details are in the prenup that might be more beneficial to her. She probably won't be left high and dry once he's gone. Not that he's on his way out the door. Hef may be an old man, but he clearly has a lot to live for.
