The Bachelor

Did Sean Lowe Find True Love on The Bachelor? “I Wouldn’t Go That Far” — Exclusive

Sean Lowe doesn’t take finding his wife lightly; in fact, we’d argue he’s the most thoughtful, genuine Bachelor in recent history. Onscreen, the Texas entrepreneur seems equal parts wary and bemused. Speaking exclusively with Wetpaint Entertainment at the Bachelor Mansion on January 11, Sean explains why rose-doling isn’t as easy as it looks — and whether or not he finds his true love on television.

What’s it like being the Bachelor?
Sean Lowe:
Overwhelming. In one word. A lot more stressful than The Bachelorette.

There’s a lot more riding on your shoulders.
Yeah. I was just hanging out with the guys on The Bachelorette, enjoying my time. This is just date after date after date and you also feel the pressure to live up to the women’s expectations and it’s not easy.

What’s the hardest part of being on the show?
I think the hardest part is twofold—one, physically, it’s very hard. It’s demanding. You work on very little sleep and it’s every day. Outside of that, it’s emotionally taxing, too, because you do get invested in these women and you have to make some tough decisions.

You said you established relationships with multiple women on the show. I know you can’t get into details, but will it tarnish your good guy image?
I hope not. I’ll say this—I was true to myself. I was me. Hopefully that comes off well and if not, I still have no regrets because I was true to myself.

Can you say if you found true love?
I don’t know if I can go that far but I can say I started to fall in love with more than one person and that was something I was not expecting.

Have you done that ever before in your life?
No. Never. I didn’t think it was possible, but it happened.
