Jodie Foster’s 2013 Golden Globes Speech: Brilliant or Babbling?

Jodie Foster was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.

She started her speech by shouting that she's 50 (in honor of SNL) and said something in the middle about not making a big coming out speech because she already did her coming out about 1,000 years ago back in the Stone Age. But she did come out as single. She also got herself a wolf-whistle from Mel Gibson, thanked her lesbian partner/co-parent, made a pitch for celebrity privacy, confirmed that she is not interested in a reality TV career like Honey Boo Boo, and left people in the audience in tears.

It was a long, rambling speech that was also profound and memorable, even if it wasn't completely clear what happened. It was kind of like the Terrence Malick film of awards speeches.

What did you think of Jodie's speech? Were you moved? Confused? Inspired? Was it brilliant or just babbling? Awkward or amazing? Do you have any idea what she actually said? React below!
