Usher to Perform at Barack Obama’s Inauguration on Jan. 21, 2013

Usher has plenty to celebrate in 2013, and in exactly one week, The Voice Season 4 coach will be a part of one of our country’s biggest celebrations.

The R&B superstar will perform at President Barack Obama’s Jan. 21 inauguration ball, joining a slew of other A-List performers, including Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, fun., Brad Paisley, Smokey Robinson, Marc Anthony, the Glee cast, Stevie Wonder, and John Legend — just to name a few.

According to the Associated Press, the event is expected to bringing in around 35,000 people, not to mention the crowd that will gather outside for the inauguration.

Sure, it’s not the millions of viewers who watch The Voice every week, but Usher’s involvement in such a prestigious event solidifies that he deserves his coaching spot on our favorite music competition.
