Pretty Little Liars’ Shay Mitchell Teases “Interesting” Spoby Reveal and Happy Moments For Emily and Paige

With all of the lies, drama and backstabbing in Rosewood, it’s hard for our Pretty Little Liars to enjoy any real moments of happiness. But that doesn’t mean Season 3 is going to be as dark-and-twisty as it sounds.

Hollywood Crush caught up with Shay Mitchell (Emily) to talk about the lighter moments that lie ahead for our Liars.

“There is going to be lots of moments of happiness for all the girls. Mona is back and they're all trying to suss out if she is really being good now and if things have changed with her, but I do feel that each of the girls will have a little bit of happiness in there,” Shay said.

And talking specifically about Emily and Paige (Lindsey Shaw), Shay revealed the girls will both share a few lighthearted moments (at least at some point), despite the drama they’ve been through.

“Paige has been around for a while, and she's going to be in this season as well, which I love. We'll see where Emily and Paige go, but I think both of the girls will be happy.”

However, if there’s one character whose future doesn’t looks so cheery, it’s Spencer (Troian Bellisario). You know, considering her boyfriend has spent the last few years trying to destroy her.

“That [storyline] is crazy. I'm really curious to see the whole, Toby coming clean to Spencer about all that. I think when everybody sees how that takes place, because obviously she will be finding out, it will be very interesting,” Shay said.

But don’t expect Shay to reveal too many secrets. Apparently the actors receive the scripts a mere two days before they have to start shooting an episode.

“The writers want to keep us guessing and they don't want us to know too much because in interviews we can easily slip up, so it's probably a better thing that I don't know what's going to take place, I think it's good for everybody.”

So there you have it. In the immediate future, we can expect a little happiness, a little romance and an “interesting” reveal for Spoby.

What are you most looking forward to in the rest of Season 3?
