Star of TV’s The Wire Found Dead in His Apartment
TV star Robert F. Chew has sadly passed away.
The actor, known for playing Proposition Joe on HBO's The Wire, was found dead in his Baltimore apartment on January 17, according to The Baltimore Sun. He was 52.
Robert died of heart failure, with morbid obesity listed as a contributing cause of death.
"Robert was not only an exceptional actor, he was an essential part of the film and theater community in Baltimore," said The Wire creator David Simon.
Robert appeared on the show for five seasons after getting his start on David's earlier show, Homicide: Life on the Street.
