Tom Arnold To Be a First-Time Father! He Calls It a “Miracle” Due to Low Sperm Count
It's "true" — Tom Arnold is about to become a daddy!
The 54-year-old actor and comedian, known best for his role in True Lies, is about to welcome a baby boy with 37-year-old wife Ashley Groussman, according to People.
Tom made the happy announcement while co-hosting The View on January 18. The two are expecting in March.
“We’re really happy. I didn’t think it was in the cards for me, I’ll be honest, and so I was completely shocked,” Tom says. “It’s a miracle.”
Tom and Ashley got hitched in 2009, which was marriage number four to him. He was famously married to Roseanne Barr in the early '90s before their bitter divorce.
Tom says that he has a "very low sperm count," which he says has been tough for his previous partners.
“I’ve tried with other people, but since there is a God, we were unable to conceive," Tom jokes. "Now God said, ‘This is it!’”
And it sounds like Ashley is just as excited about the unexpected news as he is.
"Yesterday, she had an ultrasound, and she keeps sending them to me, and she’s like, ‘You can see he’s sucking his thumb,'" Tom says.
Tom has appeared in a slew of films, including the recent Hit & Run, along with a bajillion TV shows, such as Roseanne, Best Damn Sports Show Period, and Sons of Anarchy.
We're so excited for Tom and Ashley! Some things in life are worth waiting for.
