Uma Thurman Explains Why She Named Daughter Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence
We die for Uma — she’s gorgeous, talented, and blessed with the height gene — but even we can admit when she announced her new daughter’s name, we thought she may have jumped on the Lohan crazy train. Turns out, the 42-year-old Playing for Keeps actress has good reason for naming her daughter Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence when she was born in July — she and boyfriend Arpad Busson simply couldn’t compromise.
Fortunately for Thurman, her 14-year-old daughter Maya has stepped with a great excuse for the multiple monikers. “[Maya] came up with the best excuse, [which] was that I probably wouldn’t get to have any more children, so I just put every name that I liked into [Luna's],” Uma explained on Monday on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
For any parent who has ever wavered on names, it doesn’t sound so nuts. And the baby with five names need not worry. “We couldn’t quite agree on the name,” Uma says. “We call her Luna, so she’s lucky that way.” Thank goodness for nicknames!
