Over the next year, Lea starred in print campaigns for Candie’s spring and fall collections, as well as her own Candie’s TV commercial. Now, her reign as spokesgirl for the colorful clothing brand has officially come to an end.
On January 22, Lea took to Twitter to announced her replacement. “I has been so amazing being part of the Candie’s family. Thank you so, so much, from the bottom of my heart,” she says in the vid.
“It is time now to pass on the torch... to the fabulous Miss Carly Rae Jepsen!”
That’s right: The bright-eyed Canadian pop tart will be Candie’s newest face. The 27-year-old “Call Me Maybe” singer joins a long list of young celebs who have repped the brand, including Britney Spears, Fergie, and Kelly Clarkson.
Although Lea’s reign as Candie’s queen has come to an end, we don’t think you should shed too many tears for her. The Glee star nabbed a lucrative deal as the new face of L’Oreal Paris back in September.
Whether it’s TV commercials, magazine ads, or starring on Glee, we get the feeling that Lea won’t be disappearing anytime soon!
