Man Who Voiced Charlie Brown Arrested on Stalking Charge (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Wow, this is even more serious and sad than we thought. According to UTSanDiego, Peter Robbins is alleged to have threatened violence against his girlfriend, as well as a La Jolla plastic surgeon and a San Diego police sergeant. He pleaded not guilty Wednesday to 10 counts of making criminal threats and two counts of stalking relating to the string of unrelated incidents. He is suffering from terminal pancreatic cancer and has exhibited increasingly erratic behavior; he told others he has nothing to lose. Read more here.

Original story:

Good grief! First Elmo and now Charlie Brown.

According to TMZ, Peter Robbins, 56 — who voiced Chuck in A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown — was arrested in the San Diego area this weekend after a background check revealed a warrant for his arrest. He's supposed to be arraigned today for allegedly "making a threat to cause great death or bodily injury and stalking."

They don't mention any of the specific allegations against him. We can't blame him if he threatened Lucy, after all those football gags.
