Who Should Play Lance Armstrong? Bradley Cooper Would “Love” Cyclist Role in Biopic
Lance Armstrong is a good-looking guy, but Bradley Cooper is last year's Sexiest Man Alive — and since Lance is in the doghouse for his doping scandal, maybe he shouldn't be given so much of an ego boost.
Still, Bradley told the BBC he'd be interested in playing Lance in a planned biopic by Paramount Pictures and JJ Abrams' production company Bad Robot, based on the upcoming book Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong.
"I think he's fascinating. What a fascinating character," the Silver Linings Playbook Oscar nominee said of Lance, adding, "I remember Matt Damon was going to do his autobiography at one point years ago. I remember thinking, that would be a great character, I'd love to play that character. I would love to do something, I think he's pretty fascinating."
So Bradley is throwing his hat in the ring, and Matt Damon probably still has the same amount of interest, if not more, now that the scandal is wide open. But what about Matthew McConaughey? Would it be too weird for him to play his buddy in a movie about the cyclist's fall? Who should play Lance? And who should play his ex, Sheryl Crow, if she ends up in this movie?
