"This season, I'm sober, and I feel great!" she tells Us Weekly.
She admits that getting reunited with her kids after rehab wasn't as simple as she assumed it would be. "Being sober and coming home from treatment, reconnecting with my kids, was not as easy as I thought it was going to be," Kim says.
"I came home thinking, 'Gosh, everything's back to the way it used to be,'" she continues.
Kim says that the previous seasons of the show bring up a lot of bad memories. "I didn't want to watch the other seasons because it was hard for me. But yet I filmed the other seasons knowing I was doing not the right thing. And that was a choice I made," she says. "I knew I wasn't doing the right thing, and I did it anyway."
Kim points out that things with her sister, Kyle Richards, are going well. "I'm so grateful today for the relationships I have with my kids, my sister and my friends, God, my higher power," she says.
