Shia LaBeouf Sent Tapes of Himself on Acid to Evan Rachel Wood

Shia LaBeouf is admitting to some "lawless" behavior.

Shia who has starred in Transformers and Lawless prepared for his new film, Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, by dropping acid and filming himself on the drug.

He claims to have been nervous about playing someone on acid, having never tried it before in real life, so he decided to experiment with it for the film. He would then send the tapes to his co-star in the film, True Blood's Evan Rachel Wood, for pointers.

"I remember sending Evan tapes," Shia tells MTV at the Sundance Film Festival. "I remember trying to conjure this and sending tapes and Evan being like, 'Yeah, that's good, but that's not, but this is, but that ain't.'"

However, Evan quickly chimed in to set the record straight on what she partook in.

"Not like I would know about these drugs!" the 25-year-old actress blurted out. Evan and husband Jamie Bell are expecting their first child.

"Not like she's the expert on set," Shia continues. "I'm just saying you reach out to friends and you sort of gauge where you're at. So I was sending tapes around. I'd get fifty percents from people, and that starts creeping me out, and I got really nervous. Towards the end, I was like..."

"It was spot on," Evan confirms.

Apparently, Shia is quite the method actor.
