Glee Review of Season 4, Episode 11: How Did You Like “Sadie Hawkins”?
Glee finally came back tonight, and boy did it feel like as long wait! We’ve had no new episodes since early December, and those six weeks without Glee have felt like an eternity.
Tonight’s Season 4, Episode 11 brought us McKinley High’s first-ever Sadie Hawkins dance. Girls asked the guys, which led to some pretty interesting matchups. Hey, Tina(Jenna Ushkowitz), we understand what it’s like to have a crush on Blaine (Darren Criss). Trust us, we do. But you do realize there are a few factors stacked against you two lovebirds, right? Mainly... his sexuality.
In addition to all the relationship drama at the dance — Jarley, OMG — we also got a painful look back into Blaine’s past. Before he jointed the Warblers and became Dalton’s unofficial heartthrob, Blaine had a pretty rough time at his old school.
Also having a rough time at school, though not nearly to that extent, is Blaine’s ex, Kurt (Chris Colfer). If his first day of classes is any indication, the new student is going to find NYADA challenging him in ways he’s never been challenged before.
At least there’s a hot new guy to help distract him — and one with a sexy British accent, at that! Is it just us, or does Kurt seem to have a thing for singing group frontmen?
Lots of drama in tonight’s episode, and lots of romance. So what did you think of the night overall? Head below and lock in your rating.
