According to OK! magazine, Daniel Craig met Robert Pattinson at a party, and the current 007 said he'd like to see Rob as the next agent. “Daniel told Rob he’d make a brilliant Bond and would like to see a young talented British actor take on the role,” an insider told OK! (via Gossip Cop). “Daniel’s signed on for two more Bond movies but is convinced he’ll do no more — for one thing, he hopes to start a family with [wife Rachel Weisz] soon… and wants to focus on that.”
However, Gossip Cop found a source close to Daniel who said there's no truth to the story. He supposedly never voiced a preference for his successor. He may not even appreciate talk of any successor at all, since he's basically just getting started.
But there's no harm in speculating about the future. What do you think about Rob as Bond, somewhere down the line? Too much Twilight baggage, or could he pull it off?
