Why Did Klaus Dagger Kol? Vampire Diaries Fan Question of the Day

Oh, Klaus (Joseph Morgan). If there’s one thing that The Vampire Diaries bad boy hates more than loneliness, it’s being disappointed. And as it turns out, it’s not that hard to disappoint Klaus. And once you do, well, let’s just say that he has quite the temper. But what was it about each of his siblings that caused him to dagger them… some for longer than others? (Sorry, Finn.)

We know that Finn was a dullard, Rebekah (Claire Holt) chose Stefan (Paul Wesley) over Klaus back in the 1920s (and has since done many more things to upset her brother), and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) nearly killed his brother in Season 2. But what did Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) do to deserve a dagger?

Based on his drinking record with Klaus and his overall spunk, we’re doubting that he was too dull for Klaus to handle. Perhaps abandoning Klaus after the death of their mother was enough to send Klaus over the edge? After all, Klaus, Rebekah, and Elijah were the only three who really stuck together. Although, Kol had really only been his coffin for “over a century,” according to Elijah.

Now that Kol is back in Mystic Falls — and is hopefully heading to The Originals spin-off — maybe we’ll get more insight into the brothers’ relationship and just what it is that makes Kol tick (and ticks off Klaus).
