Nashville’s Top 4 Music Moments From Season 1, Episode 11: “You Win Again”

Nashville packs so many amazing song performances into each episode that it’s hard to keep track of them all. And while we love each and every one, life is all about choices, so here are our top four music moments from Season 1, Episode 11: “You Win Again.” (Psst! You can buy all the songs here!)

4. Avery performs “Keep Asking Why” at the music festival
It sure didn’t take Avery (Jonathan Jackson) long to amass a slew of groupies, did it? Granted, Avery sounds pretty great at this performance even if he has gotten too big for his britches [see: attempting to schmooze at the party with Juliette (Hayden Panettiere)]. Still, the fact that his ex-bandmate J.T. and ex-girlfriend Scarlett (Clare Bowen) are willing to watch him in concert must mean he’s something right, no?

3. Scarlett and Gunnar rehearse at home
Leave it to Gunnar (Sam Palladio) and Scarlett to still sound amazing during this rehearsal, even when Gunnar is playing a guitar that looks like something he might have made in woodshop. This is why you don’t leave your Gibson unattended, y’all.

2. Juliette, Rayna, and Liam perform “Wrong Song”
Who knew Rayna (Connie Britton) was capable of the Rockette-esque high kick (she delivers in Liam’s direction) during “Wrong Song”? We love watching Rayna and Juliette singing this duet back-to-back onstage, and we even enjoy Liam’s face-melting guitar solo (even though Deacon’s (Charles Esten) would’ve been better...).

1. Scarlett, Gunnar, and J.T. rehearse “One Works Better”
Is it wrong to say we got a tiny amount of joy (okay, a lot of joy) in seeing Avery’s face when he realizes Scarlett and Gunnar are rocking out with his old bandmates? And we’re glad that Avery gets to hear himself on the radio, but we’re even happier that his absence from his old band means Scarlett and Gunnar now have a full, kick-ass band to back them up. Look out, world.

The music is always amazing on this show!

I want to hear more from Gunnar
