Robert Kardashian’s Widow Defends Abuse Claims, Says Family Is “Lying”
When Robert Kardashian’s widow, Ellen, released journals earlier this week claiming that Kris Jenner used to beat daughter Kim Kardashian and neglected her children, almost the entire Kardashian family fought back.
Kim, Kris and Khloe called the reports “ridiculous” and “laughable,” but now Ellen Kardashian is defending her claims.
Speaking with In Touch, the same magazine she gave the journals to originally, Ellen refutes many of the girls' statements about her, calling their words “completely false and horrible.”
While Khloe tweeted that Ellen married her father “on his deathbed while he was not even aware of his surroundings,” her 72-year-old stepmom says she did no such thing.
“I was with Robert for almost five years total. I dated him for three years, and he proposed to me in 2001,” she tells the mag. “We married two months prior to his passing in 2003 and planned a wedding— we didn’t just run right out and get married.”
Ellen also disputes the clan's assertion that she is jobless and sold the journals for financial gain. While she did file for bankruptcy, Ellen says that happened two years ago, adding that if her motive really was cash, “I would have done this nine years ago.”
