Tina Fey Wants to Do a Mean Girls Musical — With This Diva Cast As…
Mean Girls: The Musical? So fetch!
Mean Girls screenwriter/co-star Tina Fey said a musical version of the film — which starred Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert — is not out of the question. "Maybe! We want to. I would love to," Tina Fey told E! News on the red carpet at last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards. "I'm trying to develop it with my husband, who does all the music for 30 Rock and I think Paramount's on board."
Tina already has some early casting in mind: Mariah Carey as the pink jumpsuit-wearing mother of Regina George (Rachel McAdams). She’d have to follow Amy Poehler, who played the role in the movie, but Mimi would make it her own.
What do you think? Would you see Mean Girls if it were on Broadway? Should they cast Mariah?
