Celebrity Trainer Tracy Anderson on Kim Kardashian: “She’s a Natural Mom” – Exclusive
Kim Kardashian’s famous curves may be expanding now that she’s expecting her first baby, but she’s not about to let things get out of control. To stay as healthy and toned as possible during her pregnancy, she’s enlisted top celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson, who also helped Kim’s big sis Kourtney get her bikini body back after the recent birth of her daughter, Penelope. Tracy just launched The Pregnancy Project – a fitness program designed to take expectant moms through each month of pregnancy and during the first few months after the birth. We spoke with Tracy about the program, how Kim’s doing and what kind of mom she’s going to be.
Wetpaint Entertainment: What’s the Pregnancy Project all about? It’s a tool to take you through your routine during every month of your pregnancy and then getting you back on track after you’ve had the baby. Unless there’s a medical reason you’ve been put on bed rest, there’s never a time you have to stop connecting to your body. It’s not cardio heavy, it’s about keeping your muscles awake and alert.
Is Kim following it? Absolutely. She’s doing a customized version of it. When she’s in LA, she comes to my gym and when she travels, she takes it with her.
How is she feeling these days? She just says she feels so good. She’s such a natural mom. I believe you start being a mom from right from the get-go and she’s doing a fantastic job. That baby is really lucky.
In what ways is she doing well? You just have to become so unselfish and she’s really taking that seriously. She’s making sure to take good, good care of herself. You’ve worked with her sister Kourtney. Will she be a good influence on Kim? Kourtney’s a very down-to-earth, in-touch mom. Kim doesn’t need any motivation in the fitness department because she’s such a self-starter, but her sister will be a great example in terms of other things like staying balanced. You’re clearly a pregnancy and fitness expert. Are there any products you recommend to your celebrity clients and other expectant moms? Yes. I love this line Mamma Mio. They make stretch creams and body butters and their Lucky Legs, in particular, is so amazing. For the face, I’m a fan of Amalou skincare. During pregnancy, there are a lot of things you can’t use, but this is just brilliant.
