Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Spoilers: Episode 14 Will Be an “Alex-Centric Episode,” Says Shonda Rhimes
We’ve seen him fight to keep his pro bono organ program alive despite huge fiscal cuts in Season 9 Episode 12 “Walking on a Dream,” and according to show creator Shonda Rhimes, Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) is willing to go to great lengths to keep the hospital he loves open and thriving. Although the upcoming Season 9 Episode 13: “Bad Blood” will focus more on one patient’s particularly delicate religious situation and McBaby drama, Episode 14 -- “The Face of Change” -- is set to be much more “Alex-centric,” Shonda tells TVGuide. And the show creator promises that Karev’s escapades will be nothing short of hilarious!
“That's a great, funny and interesting episode," she says. "It's really about the idea that they're trying to rebrand the hospital in a certain way. So they're reluctantly fighting to be the face of the hospital, or the cover boy for the hospital.” Cover boy? Can I place my vote for Jackson now?
Still, Episode 14 won’t be all fun and games. The Karev-filled episode will also illuminate just how much financial help the hospital really needs. “You begin to realize how much trouble they really are in at the hospital, so you're watching things fall apart from that perspective,” Shonda explains.
