American Idol 2013: Who Got Cut on Hollywood Week, Day One on February 6, 2013?

Getting to Hollywood Week on American Idol is an accomplishment all in itself, but the journey ended quickly for half the guys on Day One. The Season 12 judges eliminated some singers who were already fan favorites. Check out who went home below.

Karl Skinner first one praise with his original guitar playing, but his rendition of “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” didn’t please the judges.

Dustin Watts, a 27-year-old firefighter, wasn’t hot enough to stay in Hollywood.

Dr. Calvin Peters may be a medical man, but his Hollywood Week song was DOA. He got sent home.

Brian Rittenberry warmed hearts with his story about his ailing wife, but it wasn’t enough to save him in Hollywood.

That’s harsh! Kareem Clark was the only one in his group — which included Johnny Keyser — to be sent home.

A full group — Jason Jones, Dan Wood, and Jessie Wood — all went One Direction: home.

“Some Kind of Wonderful” ended up terribly for Darien Moses and Mario Jose, who were cut, while two of their teammates advanced.

Josh Stevens and Scott Fleenor felt it was a struggle having Lazaro Arbos in their group, but he made it to the next round, while they did not.

Kayden Stephenson and Kevin Quinn are amongst the youngest singers in the competition, so they’ll have plenty of years to try again. This year, they didn’t make it.

Griffin Peterson and Clifton Duffin both get cut.

In the last group, Frankie Ford was the only one to be sent home, though Keith Urban fought for him.
