Farrah Abraham on How to Avoid Being Catfished: “Like, Keep It Real”
Everyone be quiet, our Teen Mom muse is gifting us with yet another educational YouTube video. The subject? Online dating. Much like everyone else in the USofA, Farrah Abraham's obsessed with MTV's new show Catfish, and she has a few pro-tips on how to avoid being scammed on the internet. "To avoid being catfished, to avoid being scammed, to avoid playing games and talking to some fake person who is probably insecure, negative, and immature about their lives and who they are, and probably don't like themselves, and they probably wish they were you or something, I have no idea why they do it," Farrah says. "You can't be so skeptical or so paranoid that everyone's a catfish out there that you don't wanna date, that you don't wanna talk, that you don't wanna be social. Like, keep it real."
Turns out Farrah herself is a victim of catfishing, but she's not letting it get to her! "When I was younger, I had this happen," she says. "Some boy off of Facebook, and who knows, had some other accounts that were fake. And so I was like 'OK, let's just meet in person.' Nobody ever showed up. So there's that."
OMG, sad-face! Online dating definitely has its risks, but if you play is safe like Farrah, you could end up finding the love of your life. In fact, this gal is currently in a relationship with a sexy dude that she met online, and she couldn't be happier!
