The Vampire Diaries

Joseph Morgan’s Warhouse: Everything You Need to Know About The Vampire Diaries Star’s New Movie

We’ve been awaiting more news about Joseph Morgan’s movie Warhouse since October 2011, when the trailer was released. The film looks absolutely terrifying — even more so than his work as Klaus on The Vampire Diaries.

Joseph plays AJ Budd, a Royal Marine who finds himself locked in a strange house. Everyday is the same: He fights against his not-quite-human competitors in a kill-or-be-killed battle.

In this gory Groundhog Day-esque environment, the only thing helping Budd retain his sanity are the journals of a World War I lieutenant, Edward Sterling (Matt Ryan). The officer was also a former prisoner, and while Budd draws comfort from them, he’s desperate to find out what happened to the man who wrote them.

The killing takes a psychological toll on the prisoners, who both go to horrible lengths to win their freedom.

It definitely sounds right up Joseph’s alley! No wonder he tweeted that he considers it some of his best work.

The full synopsis and links to the movie’s Twitter and Facebook pages are below. We’ll keep you updated on release date information!

Warhouse stars Joseph Morgan, from the hit show The Vampire Diaries, with over 4 million viewers in the U.S and over 16 million social media followers worldwide.

Warhouse is a gripping, brutal, psychological film with a supernatural edge that charts one man's fight to preserve his humanity and sanity over years of terrible imprisonment.

Royal Marine A.J Budd (Joseph Morgan) awakes in a mysterious house and is forced to fight for his life everyday against grotesque inhuman opponents. Trapped alone in an unchanging prison of unbreakable routines, he must kill everyday or die himself. As days stretch into years, the isolation and unceasing violence threaten his very soul.

The only note of hope lies in the journals of a former prisoner of the Warhouse, WW1 officer Lieutenant Edward Sterling (Matt Ryan). Discovered behind a secret wall, Sterling's diaries serve as a mentor to the young marine and help to keep him alive, but what dark fate befell their author?

The Stories of these two men from different times interweave as their desperation to escape the Warhouse and the endless killing leads them both into taking terrible measures.
