“I don't think he's gotten revenge,” OUATexecutive producer Edward Kitsis told TVGuide.com. “As long as Rumple's heart still beats, he's not gotten revenge. He only got the first punch in.”
Uh oh! Rumple is already distracted, trying to find his son and restore Belle’s memories. And considering Belle smashed poor old Chip the Teacup at the end of Season 2, Episode 12: “In the Name of the Brother,” he’s not going to have an easy job with the latter. Is there hope for Belle ever getting her memories back?
“If it was permanent, that would be the most bleak end,” said Kitsis. “How does Gold bring her back is the story I would watch.”
“And hope is a very important component to our show,” executive producer Adam Horowitz added. “No matter how dire the circumstances, short of death, we like to think there's always hope.”
As for a possible change of heart for Hook, perhaps brought about by the lovely Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), Kitsis said “you’re going to have to watch and see what happens.”
Emma may be distracted by the return of the Sheriff Graham/the Huntsman (Jamie Dornan) who met an untimely end when Regina (Lana Parrilla) squished his heart in Season 1, Episode 7: “The Heart is a Lonely Hunter.” Horowitz and Kitsis said the way the Huntsman returned “is something we’re really excited about,” but were tight-lipped about the details.
“No matter how they're getting him, they're getting Jamie Dornan, so we feel that they will be satisfied either way,” said Kitsis.
“I would say that I would hope one day that when things calm down they can expand their family again because missing 28 years of your child's life is one thing and it would be nice to see them as parents,” said Kitsis. “I think they would make great parents.”
Do you think the Charmings should have a baby prince or princess? Will Hook ever get his revenge? And are you excited to see the Huntsman return? Sound off in the comments below!
