The Vampire Diaries

Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 13: “Into the Wild” — 5 Questions We Want Answered

The Vampire Diaries always leaves us guessing, especially now that the cure is within reach. We have tons of questions that we hope will be answered in Season 4, Episode 13, “Into the Wild.”

Where have Tyler and Caroline been?
Caroline (Candice Accola) missed setting up for the ‘80s Decade Dance that never was? Um, no. While she was probably trying to help Tyler (Michael Trevino) get over his grief — and keeping the hybrid far, far away from the murderous Klaus (Joseph Morgan) — we’re really curious what they’ve been up to while Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) has been killing an Original.

Will anyone feel remorse for Kol and his bloodline?
Back in Season 4, Episode 3, “The Rager,” Elena (Nina Dobrev) seriously contemplated driving the white oak stake into Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) heart. It was only Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) admonishment that the new vamp would be murdering an entire bloodline that stopped her. A few weeks later, Elena actually uses Kol’s (Nathaniel Buzolic) hundreds of bloodsucking spawn to her advantage, letting Jer take them all out with one blow. She didn’t know them! Will either of the Gilbert sibs feel a teensy bit guilty about this?

Who else wants the cure?
Only Bex has really voiced a definite opinion on whether she wants the cure. Is everyone else just along for the Nova Scotia scenery, or do some of them harbor a desire to be human?

Is Rebekah sincere?
It seems Rebekah got over her brother’s death very quickly and agreed to join Team Cure. Does she really just want her vampire life to be over — or is she plotting something bigger?

Why doesn’t anyone care about Silas?
Multiple people have been told multiple times that Silas is a life ruiner — nay, a world ruiner. Why didn’t anyone pause when Kol said the ancient witch would bring destruction and death. We know that’s what they said about the Mayan calendar ending, but still. We don’t live in Mystic Falls.
