Gossip Girl is over, as is our reason for waking up in the morning. This dramarific teen soap was pretty much the only good thing about Mondays, and we're already prayer circling ourselves silly for a reunion show. Mostly because we're left with way more questions than answers... like, why is Dan's (Penn Badgley) brain populated by a mischievous blonde girl?
Well good news, Upper East Siders! It looks like a Gossip Girl reunion show could be in the works –– if the cast agrees to slip into their Loubies for one last hurrah. "We've never had any legitimate conversations about doing a movie until we were saying goodbye," executive producer Stephanie Savage tells E!. "Then we said, 'We'll do a movie, Broadway show or reunion show, right?'"
The problem? Most of Gossip Girl's main players have gone on to bigger and better things –– especially Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen), who dropped the New York affectation and picked up a hot husband. "It's really exciting for it to be over," Blake says. "It's like being in a school you really love. You love it, but your senior year when you're finally released to do something else you're really excited to move on to the next chapter."
Speaking of moving on, Penn Badgley has made it pretty clear that he wants to put Gossip Girl in his rear view window –– but who knows? Maybe he'll be on board if the producers let him grow out his hair into an unruly muppet nest.
