Pretty Little Liars

Who Is “A”? Our Top 4 Suspects From Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 18

So, you’re still dying to know who else is on the “A” team on Pretty Little Liars. Don’t worry — we’ve got our crack team of sleuths on the case, analyzing every clue for your mystery-solving pleasure.

Who is “A”? Here are some hints from Season 3, Episode 18: “Dead to Me,” that may help us solve this thing for good.

And for even more hints and clues, check out our 10 Burning Questions from the episode!

4. Aria Montgomery

Why she might be “A”: Aria (Lucy Hale) tells Hanna (Ashley Benson) she wants to hang onto the earrings which she put in Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) casket, and we can’t think of a great reason as to why she would want them unless she’s “A” and is planning to use them against the girls again! We never knew jewelry could be so incriminating.

Why she might not be “A”: We can’t imagine Aria playing a role in drugging Emily (Shay Mitchell) on the night Ali’s grave was unearthed. Plus, we still don’t know why Aria would have ended up in a box on the train if she were on the “A” team. No one voluntarily agrees to get locked in a box unless they’re a magician’s assistant and we really hope Aria isn’t a magician’s assistant.

3. Alison DiLaurentis
Why she might be “A”: Emily sees a blonde girl in red at Ali’s grave, which could be Ali. Does this mean Ali is still alive and calling the shots on the “A” team? Well, maybe — or it’s a wig, and we’ve seen a blonde wig in A’s lair before. Then again, Rosewood’s police department is probably in the process of arresting every blonde girl within a 500-mile radius as we speak.

Why she might not be: This is the first time in a long time that Ali isn’t in our top spot. So what gives? Well, whenever a character on PLL suggests someone is “A,” it’s safe to assume that person isn’t “A.” So when the Liars this week talk about Ali being “A,” we’re suddenly ready to throw that theory out the window. That said, the show may still go with the “Ali’s twin” storyline, so we shall see.

2. Ezra Fitz
Why he might be “A”: The poor guy wasn’t even in this week’s episode. But two reasons make us suspect Ezra (Ian Harding). One is that “A” bought whiskey at the end of the episode, and we remember Ezra impressed Byron with his taste in scotch back in Season 2. The other hint at Ezra being “A” is the constant shots of his typewriter this week, as “A” also uses a typewriter. Two strikes, you’re out.

Why he might not be: Well, a lot of guys like hard liquor. Let’s not forget Wren (Julian Morris) has been known to hit the sauce pretty hard, so maybe he was the one buying the whiskey. Plus, we still don’t have any motive for Ezra to work with the “A” team, so we’re just gonna hope he’s not up to anything creepy (other than dating a minor, of course).

1. CeCe Drake
Why she might be “A”: We suddenly have a new top candidate for “A”! Granted, the blonde girl whom Emily saw could be someone in a wig, but we’re still inclined to think it was CeCe (Vanessa Ray), especially since she’s always so sketchy and knows so many of Ali’s secrets. If the hair color fits...

Why she might not be: She’s a recently new addition to the show, so it would be a tad odd for us not to have met the “A” leader from the beginning. Still, no one on the show has yet to suggest CeCe as being on the “A” team, so she’s our top choice for the time being.
